NEVER NEVER NEVER pay the posted price for a hotel room.

You call them yourself and talk them down. This can save you up to %40, depending how long you are staying.

I was shocked! 'What is the point in posting these prices?' I asked.

Because some people will pay them.

The barter system is alive and well in the Hotel industry.
